Regional Manager, Environmental Health and Safety - stationed in Charlotte with US travel
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is hiring for an experienced Regional Manager, Environmental Health and Safety for our global manufacturing client.
Summary:
Partner with operational leaders to enhance regional safety, health, and environmental performance, support global EHS initiatives, and foster a proactive safety culture. This role works across all levels of the organization to drive EHS strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional EHS programs, drive best practices, and influence decisions across multiple sites.
- Support site leadership with technical expertise and develop EHS management systems.
- Create policies, training and tools to to aid in development and implementation of programs.
- Act as the organization's liaison during inspections, audits, and regulatory agency engagements.
- Manage workers' compensation, security, and loss prevention programs.
- Make certain of the collection, preparation, submission, and maintenance of all required EHS-related records, applications, permits, and documentation.
- Track EHS performance metrics and oversee corrective actions.
- Mentor regional EHS teams and integrate EHS into business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Safety, or related field.
- 5–10 years’ EHS management experience within chemical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and accident investigation processes
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
